I can't overstate how much growth and healing I experienced over 9 months of sessions with Dr. Thaen. This week marks a year since I moved states and had to leave her practice, but I still use the resources and tools she gave me daily. Her approach mixing EMDR, somatic practices, CBT, and nervous system regulation felt like a breakthrough for me after years of seeing primarily CBT/DBT-only therapists. Dr. Thaen welcomed feedback and provided space to reflect at the end of each session. She didn't hesitate to interrupt lines of thought or point out something she was noticing mid-session. It was often these gentle, but firm redirections that helped me build trust and be more vulnerable. Dr. Thaen is kind, straightforward, gentle, and clear. I would recommend her wholeheartedly.

Through just six months of seeing Dr. Saelee, I felt that I have grown into the person I was meant to be. The way her EMDR sessions helped resolve my trauma was remarkable. She effectively transitioned me to ACT and CBT when my treatment needs shifted. Through our sessions, I am now equipped with tools I can use to self regulate and continue my progress. Dr. Saelee is very kind, perceptive, and genuinely supportive. Talk therapy has had mixed results for me in the past, but she always had the most accurate insights to offer at the right times. In my almost 3 years of seeing Dr. Saelee, I can effectively say my life has transformed and blossomed into something I have never thought to be possible. I, initially, went to her to process the grief of my mom's passing, but what we were able to unearth and process throughout the scope of my life is what I will cherish the most. Her use of somatic healing, as well as her talk therapy methods, are unmatched.
